Sevilla, 1975
Mar Muñiz, a Spanish artist born in Seville in 1975, has established a distinguished career with over 12 years of experience in the art world. Deeply influenced by the light and cultural richness of her hometown, Seville.
With a background in Engineering and Fine Arts, Mar has explored a wide range of techniques and materials, including marble sculpture, wood carving, forging, resin modeling, and digital formats. However, in recent years, she has found oil painting to be her primary means of expression.
Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous exhibitions, earning recognition from both critics and the public. Recently, her work was the focus of a solo exhibition at the Contemporary Art Center of Málaga.
Mar Muñiz's artwork is characterized by an optimistic and colorful approach that celebrates life and brings light to everyday moments, without relying on direct criticism. Her pieces aim not only to visually delight but also to encourage deep reflection on existence and contemporary society, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive outlook on life.
