Matías Quetglas (Ciutadella de Menorca, 1946) is a Spanish painter, sculptor, and printmaker notable in contemporary figurative art. Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Madrid, his work blends figurative realism, hyperrealism, and surrealism, focusing on the human figure in large compositions with expressive volumes.
He has exhibited widely across Spain and Europe, and his work is part of public and private collections including the Museo Reina Sofía, the Calcografía Nacional, and the Museum of Menorca.
His art explores the body, identity, and visual memory, combining classical sensibilities with a contemporary vision.
