Marina Anaya (Palencia, 1972) is a Spanish multidisciplinary visual artist based in Madrid. She earned her Fine Arts degree from the University of Castilla‑La Mancha (Cuenca) in 1996 and began her artistic journey with a AECI scholarship in Florianópolis, Brazil, later pursuing doctoral studies in Havana, Cuba, experiences that have deeply influenced her vibrant and rhythmic artistic language.
Her practice spans printmaking (notably copperplate engraving), painting, sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry, approaching each medium with curiosity and strong craft roots. From her studio in the Malasaña district of Madrid, Anaya creates work she has shown in solo and group exhibitions as well as national and international art fairs.
Marina Anaya’s work is known for its expressive color, technical exploration, and positive energy, drawing on her experiences in Brazil and Cuba and a commitment to handcrafted processes and material integrity.
