Galería BAT Alberto Cornejo is participating in the group exhibition Entre la retícula y la vida, which brings together a selection of contemporary sculptures in the gardens of the Museo Lázaro Galdiano, as part of Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend.

Of the 60 galleries belonging to the Asociación de Galerías de Arte de Madrid taking part in this initiative, only 13 have been selected to present a work in this unique setting. Among them is Galería BAT, participating with Compass, a monumental corten steel sculpture by Carlos Albert.

The piece forms part of the artist’s sculptural research into matter, space, balance and transformation. The selection of Compass highlights the monumental dimension of his work and its ability to establish a direct physical relationship with the space in which it is presented.

The sculpture can be viewed in the gardens of the Museo Lázaro Galdiano (C/ Serrano, 2) from 9 September to 15 November.
