Art show "OVERBOOKING"

OVERBOOKING
Consequences of Overtourism
From 6 9 2026 to 6 20 2026
BAT Alberto Cornejo Gallery presents Overbooking: The Consequences of Overtourism, a curatorial project developed by the students of the Master's Degree in the Art Market and Management of Related Companies at Nebrija University.
The exhibition offers a critical perspective on mass tourism and its impact on territories, images, and ways of inhabiting space. Through a variety of artistic approaches, the works of Clara Carvajal, Johana Luna, Julià Panadès, Marina Planas, Nicolás Laiz Placeres, and Sonsoles Company examine the tensions arising from tourism-driven exploitation, landscape transformation, and the construction of collective imaginaries linked to leisure, consumption, and the contemporary experience of travel.
One of the exhibited works will become part of the Nebrija University Collection through the Nebrija University Acquisition Award in Recognition of Artistic Creation 2026, which celebrates its 10th edition this year.
Curatorial Team: Alba Diego, Ying Kirkpatrick, Alicia Santos, Damián Díaz, Nicolás Quispe, and Irene Tomás Rocío Fuerte.
