Art show "Colors of the wind"
Colors of the wind
From 1 31 2025 to 3 29 2025
The BAT Gallery presents Carmen Baena with her new series of works that explore color, transformation, and the subtleties of visual perception. Under the title The Colors of the Wind, the exhibition establishes a dialogue between painting, textile art, and sculpture, offering a sensory experience that invites the viewer to discover the interaction between these elements.
Baena's artistic practice began in the field of sculpture, where she developed her mastery of white marble, exploring concepts such as duality, space, and time. However, on this occasion, the focus is on her more recent works, which incorporate the use of textiles and a broad palette of vibrant colors.
From an early age, Baena learned various textile techniques within her family, and later under the guidance of a professional embroiderer. What began as a domestic activity gradually transformed into an extension of her sculptural work, becoming an essential component of her artistic proposal over the past decade.
