Diego Canogar
about Diego Canogar
Madrid, 1966
Graduated in Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, he treats his works as three-dimensional drawings. The technique, the materials he uses and the light are the elements that give colour to his works, while he takes care of giving them form. Nature and geometry are his main sources of inspiration.
What at first sight can be contemplated as a complex abstraction, is discovered as a figurative language that goes through the memories of his childhood. Rocky and sparkling Mediterranean landscapes build a sculptural work that goes beyond the limits of geometry, inviting us to inquire about shapes.
