Diego Canogar
Madrid, 1966
Graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, he approaches sculpture as a three-dimensional drawing, where material, light, and technique interact to create forms that transcend pure geometry.
His work, inspired by nature and geometry, combines simple shapes to create abstract pieces that evoke movement and rhythm. He works with iron, steel, and metal rods, transforming them through welding and assembly into structures that engage with light and space, making the surrounding environment an active part of the sculpture and generating a dynamic sensory experience.
Canogar has developed an extensive career both in Spain and abroad (Portugal, Japan, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia). In addition to his work as a sculptor, he plays an active role as president of the Mínimo Tamaño Grande association, promoting contemporary sculpture through exhibition projects.
