BAT Gallery presents The Pleasure of Living, a solo exhibition by the artist Marc Jesús Vives (Ibiza, 1966), which will be open to the public starting June 20, 2025, at our gallery. The exhibition brings together his most recent works and a selection of iconic pieces that form his unique artistic universe.

Since he began his collaboration with BAT Gallery in 1994, Marc Jesús has developed a coherent, prolific, and deeply personal artistic career. His distinctive work offers the viewer a pause: an invitation to contemplate, breathe, and enjoy.

Based in Menorca, he has channeled the light and vitality of the Mediterranean into his artwork. His style conveys a luminous and sensual view of life, which he defines as “of a young spirit, but with the virtues of maturity.” The well-known "blue women," an iconic symbol of his work, do not represent anyone in particular but are metaphors of calmness and sensuality. In his words: “There is no sadness in my paintings; I prefer to stain canvases with joy and erotic touches of indigo.
