about Borja Barrajón
Madrid, 1985
Borja Barrajón (Madrid, 1985) is a Spanish sculptor and abstract artist whose work explores space, materiality, and sensory perception. Trained at the Complutense University of Madrid, he works with materials such as alabaster, Calatorao marble, and Macael white marble, pushing their physical properties to create pieces that engage the viewer’s sensory experience.
He has received notable awards, including the International Urban Sculpture Competition of Pamplona (2023) and the Cosentino III International Sculpture Competition CAPA (2023). His works have been exhibited at fairs and shows such as Art Madrid’23 and Art Madrid’24, and are included in public and private collections in Spain.
His practice combines formal rigor, poetic sensitivity, and an exploration of form and void.
