about Manuel Mediavilla
Málaga, 1972
Manuel Mediavilla (Málaga, 1972) holds a Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from the Complutense University of Madrid. His work revolves primarily around the figure of the swimmer and the animal world, exploring themes such as balance, identity, and the relationship between human beings and their environment.
Working mainly in bronze and iron, Mediavilla combines figurative sculpture with a refined formal language, creating poetic compositions in which water—whether present or merely suggested—plays a central role. His work is distinguished by its clean lines, serene atmosphere, and contemporary sensibility, often engaging in dialogue with architecture and design.
Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs, and his works are included in significant private and institutional collections.
