Nekane Manrique Mezquita (Valle de Trápaga, Bizkaia, 1985) is a Spanish artist and painter specializing in contemporary figurative painting. From an early age, she showed interest in art and trained at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of the Basque Country, completing a DEA in Doctoral Studies and a Master’s in Teacher Training.
Her work focuses on landscapes and the female figure, notable for its sensitivity in color, light, and composition, creating atmospheres of intrigue, contemplation, and visual poetry.
She has received creation grants and artistic residencies in Spain and abroad. She has exhibited in numerous solo shows, including the Museo de Arte MAD in Antequera, as well as in group exhibitions. Her work is included in public and institutional collections, such as CAC Málaga, the Rodríguez Acosta Foundation in Granada, the Juntas Generales de Bizkaia, and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Novi Sad (Serbia).
