Ely Sánchez (Caracas, 1970) is a contemporary visual artist and photographer known for his conceptual and experimental approach to the image, with a strong emphasis on composition and color. He began his professional path through studies in architecture, graphic design, and advertising, developing a visual language where reality becomes a bridge to the imaginary and allegorical, often creating images that function as visual riddles or micro‑stories.

Over more than twenty years, Sánchez has worked with prominent figures of Spanish photography and was selected for the PhotoEspaña “Descubrimientos 2013” showcase. He is part of the Contemporáneos photography collective and participated in PhotoEspaña OFF 2016.

His work has been exhibited in various national contexts and explores how the photograph can transcend documentation to enter poetic, allegorical, and experimental territory.
