about Diego Benéitez
Zamora, 1986
He is a Spanish contemporary painter whose work uniquely blends figuration and abstraction around his ongoing exploration of landscape, treating sky and earth as dynamic visual forces in dialogue.
After beginnings linked to urban art, he has built a robust career since 2010 on both the national and international art scene. His work has been showcased in solo exhibitions in galleries in New York, Switzerland, Sweden, France, and Spain, and he has participated in art fairs in Europe and the Americas, including notable events in Los Angeles, Miami, London, and Germany.
Benéitez has received several distinctions, including the Climent Muncunill Roca Prize from the Museum of Manresa and being shortlisted for the BMW Painting Prize. His work is held in important institutional collections such as Fundación Caja España, Fundación Bancaja, the Museum of Manresa, the Complutense University of Madrid, and the Paradores de España collection.
