Marta S. Luengo is graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, specialising in Sculpture. Since then, she has developed her artistic career in this discipline, regularly exhibiting her work in different art galleries, institutional galleries and contemporary art fairs, both in Spain and abroad. He has won several prizes and mentions in different national competitions, including the first prize for his monumental project ‘Se hace camino al andar’. In turn, different public and private collections house his work, such as the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, Lilly Scarpetta Collection, Lease Plan Servicios, E2 IN2 S.A, Museo Tiflológico de la ONCE, Museo de la Catedral de León, Egyptian Embassy in Madrid, or the Town Halls of Ceutí, Majadahonda or Las Rozas de Madrid, municipality where he recently installed his work ‘Campo de las decisiones’.
The human being observed in his different realities is the protagonist of his work. In his sculptures, the study of the figure and the context in which it is presented share importance. The creation and use of the scene has become a constant in his work; from there he speaks to us of the complexity of the circumstances in which the human being has to develop as a person, integrating the social-urban life with the intimate-personal one.
