Llodio, 1965
Javier Herrero (Llodio, Álava, 1965) is a Spanish artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and printmaking. He studied at the Escuela de Deba and trained in printmaking workshops, specializing in traditional graphic techniques such as etching and collage.
Throughout his career he has participated in over 200 group exhibitions, with his work shown in Spain and internationally in countries such as the United States, Japan, and Finland.
Herrero’s artistic practice combines disciplines and visual languages, notable for its technical experimentation and the dialogue between media - such as lithography with collage - within a coherent and expressive body of work that positions him as an active voice in contemporary Spanish painting and printmaking.
