Luis Gordillo (Seville, 1934) is a Spanish painter recognized as one of Spain’s leading contemporary artists. His career spans abstraction, pop art, and conceptual art, developing a pictorial language marked by experimentation with color, form, and repetition, and exploring visual memory and popular culture.
Gordillo has exhibited internationally in museums and galleries across Europe, the United States, and Latin America. His work is part of major collections such as the Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, the MoMA (New York), and the MACBA (Barcelona), establishing him as a key figure in contemporary Spanish art.
